I haven't been here long so I'm still unsure how things work. From what I've observed so far, layoffs happen usually once a month and it's always just on Tuesday. Am I wrong?

When I was there, mine happened on a Wednesday.
We had a team meeting the day before like usual and no mention of it. Normal day, as usual, then that Wednesday morning, I got the call.
Layoffs are scheduled for the Tuesday after pay day, unless there is a paid holiday on Monday.
