Its global from 20+ to 18 so 10+% globally
I thought 10%+ cut is from U.S. Ops only.
Prior comment mentioned the reduction in 2025 does not include the outsourcing deal.
Ops to decrease by +10% globally by the end of next year. 18k target. All sites to contribute
Someone posted comment in the prior post that 10% headcounts increase in 2025.
It sounds like Wilmington.
@gzj, are you in Wilmo?
I am hearing November and then a larger action in January.
Until employees unionize and fight against automation like the longshoreman 😂😂😂
Early December
I thought 2,000 headcount reduction in 2025 does not include the outsourcing deal.
Our meeting with the location head said in 2025 operations will drop from the current total of approx 20k employees to 18k employees to bring us to pre 2022 staffing levels and 2026 will have another 1,500 lay-offs to bring us under the 2020 levels. I guess they ramped up offshore, and didn’t quite offset US layoffs as much as we thought even though there’s hardly anyone left. I know our location is slated to close in 2026. I’m confused why they chose to tell us this info without giving us plans for our own jobs.
Can I get on the list with a nice severance? That would be one he-l of a Christmas present this year
Oh well, life! Go do something else.
I heard 2025 will have more layoffs in operations.

The rest of 2024, I assume that BNY will reduce headcounts before 2025 healthcare benefits enrollment.
