Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

Good news for Waco (maybe?)

From the company newsroom:

MELBOURNE, Fla., Sept. 30, 2024 — The U.S. Navy has awarded L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) a contract to perform depot maintenance, repair and overhaul support of the 135 aircraft P-8A Poseidon fleet... Work on the P-8A Poseidon fleet will begin this year at L3Harris’ aircraft modification facility in Waco, Texas, and continue through September 2029.

Is this new work? And no mention of Greenville which would seem to be well-suited to support some of this work.

New work. Greenville is only involved if we need manufactured parts because our manufacturing is a skeleton crew now.
