Management has abandoned us all even hipos

Management has lost all interest in developing and investing in internal talent. If you want career growth and training and are an HC10 employee or hipo forget it. They are bringing in outsiders for all the dream jobs you aspire to. Even if it is way higher than your current role bringing in outsiders blocks your progress as your boss and boss of your boss can’t move up. Only option is to resign and work elsewhere.

Let’s not forget when the outsiders come in they typically bring in others as their subordinates. This cascades down to yourself as the domino effect blocks your upward mobility.

I have seen a non-HiPo Project Engineer quit EM to work for small start up company then get re-hired 10 years later as Project Executive.

Far bigger jump than he would have ever made by staying at EM.
