Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

So I guess fiber has a better chance of staying employed with the PE than we do Zayo? Thoughts?

Sounds like TPG with major leadership overhaul. Sounds like most other fiber/small cell employees won’t be too affected from the move

I can't wait for the fiber leadership to get out of this company, they've ruined it. We won't miss you.

Bye, bye fiber and small cell team! Take your lazy, rotten and no good managers with you! Now they will have to get a real job.

Stock is way down! Way to go EMT and all Clown Castle personnel, especially all managers that don’t pull their weight with towers, fiber and small cells. You know who you are!

I would be so happy if that were the case. It makes sense, I hope it goes that way.

They aren’t selling. Crown released that article to see how the market would react. It wasn’t favorable and the price is to low. $10 b won’t help reduce the debt enough to cover the revenue loss from fiber. Next earnings call they will say that the adjustment in ROI requirements and RIF cost savings has show to be positive and announce most savings and a reorg. The reorg will centralize and consolidate network so they can outsourcing most tasks( ops, maintenance, construction, permitting etc). Good news for most is the RIF will impact management and many regional high ups will be let go.

My friend, I could not agree with you more. EMT has driven this company off a cliff. They got rid of the best talent, spent money like a drunken sailor, and then left the crummiest people in charge expecting something good to happen. Well as everyone can see CC is in a downward spiral and no one in charge has the ability to change course. After fiber and SCN are spun off for pennies on the dollar all we will have are some old towers that look like cr-p with loser leaders that can’t deliver on adding new customers. It’s a bad ending to a company that was once very successful and a great place to work.

I honestly think more layoffs are coming as part of the deal. Crown has way too many people in Operations VS Revenue generating employees. Hence cooking the books on the operation side showing CAPEX spend VS OPEX spend. They’ve been re classing OPEX spend on repairs as CAPEX to save their own as--s. Clown Castle Fiber is done for thanks to the unethical people at the top and bottom. I know many good people that were let go and absolute trash staying and ruining anything that was even remotely good. Great job ”leadership”!!!
