Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Schwab is a black abyss

Is Schwab intentionally trying to make life miserable for its employees by withholding previously offered incentives and consistently pushing us to do more with fewer resources? The current leadership seems detached from the needs of the workforce, and morale is plummeting as a result. How does management expect us to stay motivated and productive under these increasingly difficult conditions?

I agree the workload is becoming too much. My team has lost 4 people with none of them being backfilled. I didn’t sign up to do multiple people’s jobs for one persons pay

Wow, wonder why Schwab is operating like a bunch of cheapskates? Do you think layoffs are around the corner? I feel the same way, extremely burnt out, and leadership doesn’t seem to care.

They don’t care because they keep getting those fat paychecks and obscene bonuses.

As my managing director told me a month ago, schwab senior leaders are aware and they don't care

Its a race to the bottom. Managment doesnt care about anyone below them as long as the lights stay on and they can continue to get a check. Regular people dont matter anymore at Schwab unless you're the last good person a team has left.

I work for 2 different teams and we had 2 contractors that completed 2 years and we are not filling those positions. Now our team is overloaded. About 4 years ago I worked for just one team and my work life balance was good. Now though I can work for 2 teams, Its not fair to overwork someone and not compensate them properly. I was un-officially promoted and other Non-Technical folks on the team are winning Tech Awards and they can't even create a CRQ or deploy an application without hand-holding for 30 minutes. I am leaving this place soon.

They don’t. And they don’t care.

But you’ll certainly hear about positive comments in the Glint surveys and town halls where the EC is listening.
