When a man of this stature leaves a company you know something is going bad. Chris, If you are reading this, you will know who I am because we have spoken before in the past about FirstNet, You know How I advised you through my past experience and how unfortunately I could never make the switch over to your team. Sambar is a patriot, straight sho-ter, I am sure the Stank didn't like the way he did not agree with how things are going here at this company... because, it was sc--wing the dedicated employee, tanking the company, and all this woke cr-p the company promotes... It was likely a force out, just like the rest of what the Stank is doing here, RTO, Making it impossible for people to move across the country under the guise of making this a better company... total B.S. I wish Chris all the best, he was the best, and he was the LAST Hope this company had at survival, I am getting my ticket punched next month so I am out too... at first I was upset, now I am happy... hopefully I will move over to where Chris was and make that company great! for the rest of you that are left, if you haven't learned by now to watch your back, you are next... you haven't learned much

He has a lot of choices including all the companies that are competing with Starlink or are offering satellite services as a good alternative to the dying FirstNet. ASTS stock went up when both AT&T and Verizon announced they are partnering with it. T-Mobile is partnering with Starlink.
When Spacex goes public that is the stock to buy.

Think of all the people not given a heads up regarding work location that lost their careers suddenly during their 2020 culling.
Lie, ride it out, collect next years bonus, get stock match, keep insurance, then when the clock runs out take all vacation, then a week or so before your vacation is set to end put in the 2 weeks and bounce.

Umm no, they have a year to LET them know whether they are moving or not. Some employees said YES to move, but did not move, so that's a false data there. Being L1/L2 that CHOICE was not revelead to the group until the last minute. He/She said yes to RTO just to buy time, and when that time's up, he/she took a vacation. Been on a couple calls with Chris though I’m just an L2. He was a solid guy and yes he did look out for his folks. He will be missed for sure. I surmise it was a force out situation. A lot of the L4+ I know that have left all said they didn’t like the direction and how employees were being treated as the reason for leaving. It is going to be a lot worse now. Until stank is gone, it will continue to spiral.

The year was the timeframe for people knowing that their job may be at risk. At least in our org, there were several times that a "backup" was not named, or they shuffled people around, and suddenly when someone said they wouldn't move, they had to be off payroll in less than 8 weeks, and congratulations, you're the new principal on this, and you now have 8 weeks to learn it. Except that the person leaving still had 2 weeks of vacation, and you had one week planned, and you both have other roles, responsibilities, and plans. Oh, and their equipment is scheduled to be shipped back before their last day, so you lose a few there, too. Best of luck!

Well, if they can FIRE Sambar, then who is firing Stankey? There's gotta be a way for this boomer to go, the way he hates other boomer as if hes not one himself. I lost a lot of hardworking, competent coworkers because of this RTO, all because they were at the wrong place, wrong time. Now, our entire department is clueless, working on limited knowledge that did not even fully transfer. The timeframe given was not enough to absorb all the knowledge and expertise from those people who acquired years of experience. All of those experiences are gone. To those who are left and working 2-4 jobs at once because we lost manpower, are on edge of quitting too. Hope this serves as a huge lesson to Stankey or to whoever's going to inherit T soon.
Sambar did not have the leadership quality to perform at AT&T. After repeated warnings and being put on a performance plan he was fired because he couldn’t execute. He milked his Navy Seal background to move up the ladder but ultimately was a failure
I report up to CS and he was the only person in the entire chain that I respected, trusted, and had faith in.
Now that he’s gone, I feel like my entire org is lost. I’m truly concerned there is no one with the morals, courage, and fortitude to lead.
All I see left is yes men, and sadly, I feel that was the desired result.
