Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Imperial Corp Separateness

as an Imperial Oil employee (Canadian subsidiary) why should I be ranked with ExxonMobil employees? We aren't even allowed to use ExxonMobil PowerPoint templates due to "Corporate Separateness" policy, so how can we blur lines in HR?

Corporate separateness for IOL is a myth for your execs to feel important and your lawyers to have job security from giving corporate separateness presentations to all your visitors. XOM owns 70% of your stock. They can do whatever they want with IOL. You are owned more by XOM than a 50/50 JV is, and a lot of JV employees are ranked with XOM employees within their discipline.

@lvl+1uTAAkU4 Unless you work at Sarnia Tech center. Then you get laid off and replaced by an XOM employee in Houston.

Aren't you guys North America? We rank by geographic region. The Lower 48 loves you for that, they want someone else PIPd.

Imperial employees are getting moved all over the world and working with ExxonMobil employees. You should be glad you are able to be ranked with them.
