Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Hiring Process

What’s the standard timeframe for the hiring process? I applied for a few different jobs before I was laid off. It’s been 3 weeks. 2 weeks ago I had my phone screen with the recruiter.

They are slow to reply. But you can’t blame them. They’ve been cut in staff as have others.

Good luck because usually jobs are created for a contractor or a cronny!

You'll be asked to do a bunch of tests that don't make sense. 6 months later, your application will still be "in process". Unless the HM thinks you're a combination of Hollywood celebrity/savior/circus animal/unicorn, they'll keep the req open until some fake, manipulative, low performing, back stabbing person pulls the wool over their eyes & gets hired.

There is some variability based on the position but none are Apply Today, Start in 30 Days. It can take months just to get approval to POST an open position. Expect 4 months, hope for 3, realize 6.

Insanely slow. Some applications sit in review for months. Have interviewed with the manager for a few positions and it has taken weeks to hear back.

You will get your offer letter next month after you accepted another position.
