Solina USA, a manufacturer of savory ingredient solutions owned by French company Solina, will cease operations at the Asenzya facility in Oak Creek, WI by the end of the year.

Asenzya is a custom seasoning company focused on innovation and culinary development. On Dec. 20, Solina USA will begin laying off 88 Asenzya employees.

Solina acquired Asenzya in 2021.

The news comes from a WARN letter filed with the Wisconsin Bureau of Workforce Development by Solina USA.

“On October 3, 2024, Solina USA announced its decision to cease manufacturing operations at its facility in Oak Creek, Wisconsin,” the letter stated.

Asenzya “is a leading US provider of custom spice blends, seasoning solutions and functional products,” according to a Nov. 8, 2021, acquisition letter by Solina. At the time of the acquisition, Asenzya had over 145 employees, per the letter.

Solina entered the North American market in January 2020 when it acquired Canadian food service company Berthelet.
