All this turmoil for a delta of a few %…

I have folks in my group… same cl so easy to compare… their salaries are a few thousand different… 3-5 range… similar skill perhaps some difference in years of experience, from good to excellent… in ‘ranking’….

Honestly it’s not worth this much heart ache and stress…

Over time this may add up but that too a difference for 10k… don’t sweat it… focus on job applications outside…

Don't bother working hard guys, PA has proven again to be flawed. Play the game, sing the right tune

year 2022, do alot, got a G for not being visible with my work
year 2023, cruise around to do 40% work, got an E
year 2024, gonna cruise around more, aiming for VG will do

you may dislike this but friends in G and below, either leave now or just play the game. Give up being the goto guy, technical specialist. Change your style to a sales man, talk like you know it all.

Age 53 is Gen X, not millenial, and believe me we don’t give a f()ck, we will be out “as soon as reasonably practical” with our money, sanity, and a bit of health left.
Enjoy the $hit $how when we’re gone because we have real skills and knowledge. Well, some of us anyway.
Boomers that want to sit around and bank money they don’t need can have it, we’re out.

@1rzt+1uaxvWwQ I’m always curious when people make comments like yours. What do you propose managers and supervisors do? You realize they don’t make the rules?

Mangers and supervisors have sold their souls to the devil. So their time will come.
I have only liked and respected one or two in the entire 20 years I have been at exxon. All others are pure sl--e and evil. None of them have any real leadership skills and just promote the favorites and not the best persons for the jobs. One employee was told the did not have the correct degree for the position they wanted. The employee was surprised when an employee with a home economics degree got the position. It did not hurt that the home economist was very attractive. The managers and supervisors at exxon are some of the worst I have encountered compared to previous workplaces.
The managers and supervisors are not your friends and will turn on you in a second. Do not trust them or anything they say.

I was told before ranking that what I produced should be considered a career high, and then I went down in ranking. But basically any system where you are ranked in the same group as your supervisor should be a ginormous red flag. Oh, OK - so you get to take credit for the entire team's work, and that will be compared to my individual contributor work. Yeah, that seems legit.

People that come here and wish for others to get cancer or get sick, shame on you. Your parents must be proud of you!

with so much psychological tortures on employees who do the actual work, I can now see my so many managers and supervisors end up with cancer and terrible health conditions, karma gets them and somehow this world is fair in the end. I am sure my manager will burn in the he-l.

Impossible to get above NI if you are older. I did everything they wanted me to improve on but they added something else. It is always so close but not enough or one more thing. I have tried for a few years and have never made it. I am ready for NSI pip next year or after. I am RE and financially ready to retire.

I Need Improvement! I feel super crazy compelled to work harder now that I know I will get no rsu's, no raise and some subtle humiliation from my team. And my ultimate take home is 3-10% less than last year....woohoo. This place rocks! Thanks DW. And Brandon.

If you are NRE and get upset by the assessment process, you are doing something wrong!

No disgusted by it. It only makes me want to phone in the next three years as I am NRE. I dont know why they think it will motivate me to move into up into good or higher.
