All the people on here claiming they know about layoffs coming are full of it. They just want to create drama. I have been assured by my manager that this is not a headcount reduction exercise. Seriously relax everyone.

Lots of changes in Technology.
Expecting anyone FB brought in will disappear along with the design team. All that stuff has never been business focused and has been a massive net negative.
So no changes in technology?
would be cost effective to get ceo and senior execs in india who would not need millions of pounds in compensation and who might possibly get value of bp to go up not down..
Definitely cuts in the US - moving those jobs to cheaper Hungary/India. You don't do 'survey's' on what you do and how long it takes without a reason.
Agree with the above comments, while not a direct head count reduction it is a cost saving exercise. Many job losses already experienced in the last few weeks, more to come.
Headcount reduction = no
Mass layoffs and replacing workerd with cheap overseas labor = yes
This should not be legal
Your statement is a little bit naive to be honest, its been said in numerous communications and webcasts there will be some job losses, your manager is correct this isnt purely a headcount reduction exercise, however with eliminating work and moving activity to TSI india which is three to four time more cost effective than using US/UK this naturally reduces headcount demand.
@nfy+1ucoluul costs can fall whilst headcount increases through moving jobs away from the expensive centres
To the OP, how do you think they’re going to save costs?
You're either fairly junior or have only worked for us for a brief period. What your boss is telling you is that they don't have headcount targets they have cost targets. So whilst he is technically correct he isn't being honest.
Gordon literally said that employ someone in the states it's roughly half a million on the last global call with Murray. It's not difficult to see why that was said...
