Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Never thought this place could get even worse

Left two years ago because of the pay but still hear all sorts of horror stories about BNY. Every quarter it seems something else gets taken away and the only true constant is layoffs. I can’t fathom how this place still operates. Are clients getting frustrated too?

Stay strong gang, the grass is greener.

If you left 2 years ago why are you still tracking this place or commenting on these threads. Move on already

Free coffee lol it su-ks at the non growth centers. We used to have good coffee 10 years ago and now it’s just garbage. I have to get DD every day. One of the heads of our location flat out refused to change the brand because the current one saves money he said…. Yeah cause no one drinks it. I was at a growth center and their coffee was awesome. Espresso machines, actual China, and dish washer in their kitchen. We’re completely mistreated at non growth locations.

The only thing constant at BNY is layoffs. BNY lays off more staff on an annual basis than 85% of most U.S. companies. And BNY is barely considered a U.S. firm anymore -everyone is either in India or Poland. If you are over 50, forget it - you will be fired & replaced by cheap labor offshore. The US employees that remain will spend an extra 25 hours per week fixing the f*ck ups of the inexperienced offshore staff.

Just saw an intvu w/ the CEO on CNBC. With a straight face, he said there are some great perks at the firm such as free coffee!! Unbelievable. No surprise most of the employees there are miserable.
