Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Post your #weird behavior from leaders

I’ll start the thread.

What’s the deal with all these “leaders” posting on LinkedIn. Is that a metric that management looks at? You know what it makes me think of Exxon and its leaders #weird

Empty vessels make the most noise. This is a sinking ship

@1zkz+1udMmWLO Report that sh*t to the hotline and let the investigators see if anything looks odd.

Laughing and giggling like a kindergartener. The new graduate is now copying said behaviour as well.

This dude can’t get through a sentence without cackling.

A manager within the area is pushing satellite areas to use a certain vendor. She had no technical knowledge at all but she’s pushing us to use a technical vendor. Either she’s on the take or buttering up someone higher up that is on the take

My supervisor (engineer) refers to millwrights as “the old boys in the field”. All the time. Makes me cringe.

Had a team lead who used to note how many times I went to the loo. I would have to walk past his office to get to the bathroom. He also used to make comments on when I came in and when I left. I did over 50hr weeks as I had just started at Exxon and he told me I need to make up time for not knowing exxons practices. I was stupid.

There was another who manipulated my presentations to look like his. This bully, my boss hid the fact that he passed off my work as his.

I was out at an offsite meeting with a couple of senior leaders, a vp perhaps… we went for a walk and a teammate pretended to tie shoe lace to get in line to talk to the walking vp! Ha!

There is one vp now senior that cries about his brother and the army…. This gets him senior votes in the company… instant sympathy

I could go on…

Good luck exxoners… the grass is greener elsewhere…

He has nil communication skills and nil people skills. Weird for a human, pretty much pre requisites for EM supervision and management.

I had one that would text his team any hour of the day or night when he needed information. Sunday evening 7 pm; Monday at 10pm etc

My section head will follow you into the bathroom and try to have discussions at the urinal. He’s been asked several times to stop doing it. He does not.
