Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

A New Low....

Fiserv has always been good at presenting/propaganda...and its recent 40 year birthday video on LinkedIn is no exception. If you want to know what type of leadership team you are working for.....just note that one of the first things mentioned in the video is that Fiserv has "Unapparelled Leadership" and a clip of FB and a couple of his minions .

What kind of C Suite would allow let alone feel the need to celebrate itself in celebrating the company anniversary. ....the smartest guys in the room...and that's the priority.

Sound familiar? Different industry, for sure, but the parallels are strking:

“Institutional memory doesn’t appear on a corporation’s books as an asset, but in a business like aerospace it can be priceless, the accumulation of proprietary knowledge that keeps increasing in quality. It has been more or less wiped out at Boeing.”

by Clive Irving, in the New York Times 8/28/24

As CEO, I would, day one:

Apologize for the hostile takeover by FirstData and KKR.
Roll back all surveillance and return to office mandates.
Apologize for propagating a demoralizing and debilitating culture.
Empower leaders to measure productivity by actual deliverables and outcomes.

It would take a monumental effort, but if you value your employees and give them the freedom to do great work, you can right the ship. It is possible.

You do realize, @1fba+1udmq7IM that Frank does the exact opposite? He is the antithesis to productivity. But again, all he wants to do is boost short term revenue for all long as possible.

Not even close for equal opportunities… financially or personal career growth.. just observe people being tagged to be ousted.. don’t think plans are being made now!! Pressure us on…they don’t want to share success with you…watch out for yourself… did everyone get a bonus? No way never…manage your own destiny and don’t get su-ked up into the propaganda. Even the health benefits are not the manageable cost it should be for an employee base this size.

So most of us would "run the company into the ground", same as Frank and his cronies are. Tell you what, I'll do it for 1/40th of what Frank got for his last bonus. That's right, for a measly one million bucks I'll do the job. Only difference is I'll at least be decent to the folks doing the work as the cratering takes place. Deal?

Our "wonderful" c suite executive are doing a tremendous job running this company into the ground. Have you not noticed the amount of attrition? We have hemorrhaged a great deal of talent and knowledge.

We continue to lose more people. We have outdated legacy systems. We are crippled internally by cr-p Internet and garbage platforms with equally inept IT support.

We lack resources to help our clients. We also hinder our clients, too, and put some out of business because of operating reserves assessed on those who we deem unsupportive risk of those who refuse to share financials after being onboarded and then kicked over to HRHV teams.

We are seeing an exodus of merchants leaving Fiserv platforms and processing. Fiserv is doing a great job imploding with Frank at the helm. We know he and his buddies will leave here with their golden parachutes after this company collapses. It will. One can only keep the stock price artificially inflated for so long.

But please, do go on and tell us in the trenches that we're whining and have no clue how to run a business. We are the ones keeping this place afloat, not the c suite and certainly not the bloody investors.

I wonder how you all would do trying to run this company. It’s easy to throw barbs, hiding behind the anonymity of this website. My guess is you would run the company into the ground in a minute. Despite your obnoxious comments and constant hope that we fail, the company is thriving. My sincere hope is that you find another great job somewhere else so you can move on. Your fixation is unhealthy.

I call all Fiserv promo videos propaganda, which is what it is. What people don't see and don't know, a ton of those 40&5 toast pictures of associates gathered were posed.

I won't say which office I saw this firsthand at but in earshot of one associate taking pics for social media told workers to get in right in the frame and pretend that you like each other. Who TF does that? BTW, it took half hour to gather people from their busy day to meet up for 5 minutes to watch 2 bllsht videos and do a 2 second toast before being dismissed.

It was essentially a fake photo op to show investors.

If this article below is true, what can we all conclude about Frank?

We know for a fact, that Frank takes the credit and passes the blame (or pulls the lever). We know that only truly great leaders take the blame and pass along the credit.

https://www.inc.com/ron-gibori/great-leaders-take-blame-pass-along-credit.html

Does Frank know that he is one unmitigated disaster of a CEO and will never attain any semblance of being a leader? Remember, Frank's super power is firing people, that's it!
