South Bay layoff limited to 53?

Based on this article, the impact on Bay Area HQ is limited to 53. Is that correct?

last year layoff 350 in July with 3 months notice, and early this year lay off around 750 in with 2 months notice, so it is expected to layoff around 1200 in September with 2 months notice. it also includes San Francisco, not just San Jose and Milpitas.

You can see past WARN notices but the notice for the current layoff will not come out until after the notify date.

The last layoff was about 4% with 700 laid off in bay area. This layoff is 6%.

You wish! That was only from the 350 they said would be notified. The rest will happen on 9/16. Life can’t be that simple

You can see the list of warn notices at:
https://edd.ca.gov/siteassets/files/jobs_and_training/warn/warn_report1.xlsx

Under the tab "Detailed WARN Report"

You will see Cisco has 53 for the Bay Area HQ location. For these 53 individuals, their last day will be 10/18 as outlined. This does not, however, mean it is "limited" to. WARN in California requires employers to provide 60 days notice. As they are providing 2 months of employment they can issue the WARN notice only a day or two ahead of 9/16. Check the warn notices on 9/12 through Monday for more accurate numbers. They will likely issue the WARN a day or two head to allow for processing and insure compliancy.
