Get up on stage, hype some new thing up through the roof, make people momentarily forget the last gargantuan failure, ride the hype for about a year, look for the next internal gig to jump to to have “impact”. That, my fellow Cisconians, is the way the VP world works at CSCO — and they make a cr*p-TON of dollars doing it…
Pretty confident the “hypes” will flame out spectacularly.
All the new hypes will turn into chances for those big guys. They gain position take big chunk of money. As usual those hype will faded away. LR happens, big guys easily find new hype and move on.
