I keep seeing it mentioned that Chuck threw Gary under the bus at GSX, but have not heard exactly what happened or what was said. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Gary knew like everyone else in tech industry that Chuck is a terrible negotiator and is still laughing that Chuck borrowed $28B to buy Splunk
In his opening section at GSX, Gary mentioned some of his life-changing events. He explained that in a dinner meeting with Chuck, he knew he could get the Splunk deal "done" but did not tell Chuck at that very moment, just trying to play hard-to-get.
When CR came on stage, he said, "It's funny, I remember 28 billion reasons to get the deal done."
They were standing at the street then a bus came and he threw him under the bus, hope this sheds some light

Gary played his part fine. Seems like he is working hard to grow up to cisco size. Chuckster always looking for an opp to show he has the biggest balz. Didn't notice any direct disrespect.
