After Labor Day Lunch

Since my husband was grilling for Labor Day, I decided to make lunch for tomorrow’s picket line. He usually doesn’t take time to eat a decent lunch while working. It’s due to his work load that must be completed daily before he can come home so he eats on the run.

Menu:

Slow cooked pinto beans with bacon, a little onion and a couple of other secret ingredients. 😋 Made plenty of skillet cornbread to go with it. Dessert is homemade chocolate chip cookies. 🍪 Hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do. Stay strong out there, your families are behind you!

Love the menu and the family support. These negotiations affect more than just the employee like, my daughter for instance. She is a type 1 diabetic who needs insulin to survive and what this company is proposing for healthcare deductions, out of pocket, prescriptions and premiums is outrageous. Many others also have health challenges that need prescriptions to survive or have a better quality of life. I will stay on the line until they start bargaining in good faith. Fight for more in 24!

Perhaps the beans and corn bread are symbolic of the situation?

“ who the he-l only eats beans and bread for lunch?”

You forgot the homemade chocolate chip cookies, you are a miserable person. Got to be a Stinky sycophant! Obviously you haven’t had a slow cooked pot of pinto beans w/bacon and skillet cornbread.

Thank you for the support ma’am! Some folks weren’t ever taught manners.

Trolling is talking about what she's making him for lunch tomorrow when he can make his own damn lunch these days. And who the he-l only eats beans and bread for lunch?

Dude, you must be trolling. The lady was speaking of his time on the job, not on the picket line. Obviously he doesn’t take the time or go home while working at the T for lunch and she also mentioned completing a work load.

We have 4 hour picket shifts. I'm home by lunch. Other days I can eat lunch at home and still be home for dinner. Latest we go is 7, so a "later" dinner isn't an issue, either. IDK where your man's going that he's not been home for dinner every night for the last 2+ weeks.

That’s mighty kind of you, hope he is on my picket line because that sounds delicious. I love cornbread and pintos, my wife makes a mean pot of beans too. Thanks for all the support!
