Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Red badges are hardly impacted ...back on from next Qtr

Red badges impact is momentary for a quarter. After the shutdown the budget gets released and all red badges back on. See in the groups like supply chain, Licesning, DnA, CR and CCW hundreds of red badges rotten from years waiting for the green card. For these vendors also it is ongoing and fixed revenue. Is cisco following the policy of time limit a contractor can be with Cisco, it is unlimited

@wkg+1ukCOqHt Under paid? I came back as a RB after being laid off and was making 30% more doing the same job! I was p!ssed when I figured out how much they’re paying. I missed out on a lot of money as a BB.

Why are red badges even criticized here? LMMBO! WE ARE STILL HERE AND MAKING BANK. To whoever thinks we are underpaid and overworked...get a clue. A lot of us wouldn't make it of our prerequisites weren't great or better than yours. We just chose to work with agencies for reasons that actually benefit us in the long run. We ARE employees of companies, just not CISCO and have better or great benefits too. You just don't know. In any event, good luck after 9.16. You may have wished to be a "red badge"

SMHA ACTING LIKE WE AREN'T HUMAN OR CONTRIBUTING MORE THAN YOU ARE.

I can tell u a lot of Red Badges were cut recently. I have been both and the work I was doing was no less being a red badge than a blue badge for 20+ years

look in the directory all BUs flooded with red badges. They continue to stay and same resources and rolled to next quarter. Cisco is going to save and please street by chopping only blue badges

Contractors are like Storage Units - In Hypergrowth times, everyone needs storage units (contractors) to support the growth. In lean (layoffs) business times, everyone needs storage units (contractors) to fill short-term operational capacity created by the chaos.

In every company there is some or other kind of money laundering, nepotism or vested interest outside the company affairs. It is not new in Cisco. This happens in companies like Tesla where mangers are in vendors pocket

If you’re a temp or a contractor, you’re probably getting extremely underpaid and have little to no PTO or benefits.

Insane seeing how much work I do for Cisco only to make $20 an hour. If anything goes wrong as a temp I can easily get cut

As a full timer you at least get paid decently and have more benefits

Blue badges can't do anything without red badges. Red badges control access to everything, doors, network devices, email, tools, etc. Blue has to ask permission first and they aren't all offshore and they all aren't waiting for green cards. Many are US citizens.

It is simple math, all the work is mostly done by red badges and blue badges take credit and present to mgmt. Managers/mgmt have to bring budget, fund and maintain red badges indefinitely.
Without red badges Cisco's biz won't run. Assume that offshore office is closed then Cisco will be closed :)
Thats why Cisco cut all onsite jobs in last 3-4 months before anouncing layoff and hired offshore
