Low performers promoted. They could not perform at their current job, but because we like them, we promoted them. What could go wrong here?

Surround yourself with fools and you will always be the smartest on in the group.
Its true all over the corporate world but not as blatant as it is here. You constantly seeing GM's and higher of failing markets getting promoted. They are the worse in all the key metrics then you see the org announcement congratulating them. Everyone reads it is dis belief.
That is the Hertz way. Drink the Kool Aid and cheer on all the id--ts in Estero and you too can get a corner office in corporate.
