Not that it really matters. But human psychology is a wonder. I’m hoping for greater chances for each one of us if VSP takers count. In reality, none of it will make much difference. Given the state of Intel and its uncertain future, I wouldn’t be surprised if layoffs continue and count surpasses initially indicated numbers.

Vsp won’t count towards ISP reduction plan…
I heard from my tarot reader that headcount is going to be around 1k-2k once all is said and done.
Makes sense. 18k layoff + altera and NEX divesture , another 12k. Total 30K reduction target. That will leave Intel headcount to 110-30 = 80K. TSMC has similar headcount with much higher foundry revenue .
Next year may be another trim of 10k taking headcount to 70K.
My children’s nanny told me the headcount goal is actually 10k when all is said and done
I overheard at a nightclub from a bartender that the headcount target will be 20-30k when all is said and done
I overheard a couple of the ladies serving food in the cafe saying - headcount goal is 55-60k when all is said and done
Heard from high up HR - headcount goal is to be 85-95K once all said and done
15% no exceptions at each site is the final word on it. This is again an example of mismanagement of the highest order so expect another CPM action in Q1 next year post Pat G resigning
Yes.
What we haven't settled on is the actual total percentage reduction.
Given it's Intel, it'll probably just keep going up up until the business hits profitability.
