Learned today that there is a hiring freeze in place, with open roles not being backfilled…

Fall PDC roles I have seen to date are all EXCLUSIVELY in HOUSTON and are without any remote/hybrid or alternative locations.
Having an opening and actually filling the role are two different things. Often times an opening is a ghost job. They want people to believe that they are growing despite the reality.
It will be backfilled by FTE at the ENGINE
This is 100% dependent on segment of business and asset - as it should be.
The push is new for some areas. Every role (FTE or contractor) vacated is going through a more formalized evaluation process. Some of the choices to not backfill have been interesting.
This has been going on for quite some time where roles are left vacant after a PDC and being challenged as to whether they need to be filled. Ain't nothing new

We’ve been in a hiring freeze for years, except for a fairly small number of college hires.
Any postings require special approval. And there is enough to post them since the freeze is deepening…
Um there are 76 jobs on the web site, which is higher than normal. I guess the freeze unthawed.
What about the fall PDC
Fake news. They are currently interviewing and hiring in India. No joke.
