Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Six hours, three days a week now required

On a team call in a group under the COO and learned we are now required to be in the office for six hours, three days a week. Is this happening elsewhere?

We are under COO. We are in one week, WFH the next and so forth.

FRTO and every POS in HY pushing it. They are garbage human beings and even worse leaders. They have done nothing for this company other than take big checks and destroy morale. The system will get gamed no matter what they do, because it's a stupid Fing system. HY is basically the gov during prohibition. Not only will it not work, it can't work, and the unintended consequences are much worse than any claimed gains.

Fire Shart, now.

I am in COO and this was just communicated to our team as well. A large number of people who were there in the AM were gone by noon, sometimes by 10am, so we can thank them. I think RTO is a joke but it should be pretty obvious that if everyone was leaving after being there a few hours they were going to crack down. Plus WF just genuinely despises its US employees and wants us all to quit so they can replace us in India without paying severence, so there's that too.

Some sites can’t track hours only in and out and logging into network. I know plenty that stay a few hours and it counts as an in office day.

If a half day "counts", how would it be 6 hr min? lol, these NYC clowns really are Fing stupid. I haven't heard of this rule yet OP, and yes I'm in COO, unfortunately. FSP.

Wow- what a waste of time and resources to pretend people actually collaborate.

With an associate passing while at work & not being found for 4 days, I’d bet good money on HR & the firm lawyers pushing hard to track employees badge in/out going forward. It’s now become a legal liability issue. Im sure OSHA is wanting to see our policies & procedures.

In WIM as well… we’ve always been told 3 days/8 hours but also that they aren’t formally tracking the hours (but that could change anytime).

I’m in WIM. We’ve been 3 days a week/8 hours a days since we RTOd. Monitored through Badge in/out swipes, IP address location, & Teams monitoring. I’d love to be 6 hours a day.

I wonder how the person dictating hours plans to enforce that though? I’m pretty sure that data isn’t in the dashboard most LOBs use. Unless it’s a team that’s just all at the same location so it’s easier to notice if someone is t there all day?

Well, that's just plain wrong. WIM overall is still 3 days. Sounds like that's just your team. I'm not including WIM Ops.

Sounds like they are including commuting time as "work time".

WIM is 4 days

it is all manager discretion. The enterprise policy says "a minimum of 3 days a week, on average". If someone is dictating hours, they are probably fed up with the coffee-badging and taking action on that.

Just curious - who sets the policy on RTO and expected hours in office for all employees
Is that suppose to be HR or COO

We were told by our director, several months ago, that was coming because people were abusing the expectations for RTO. They had all the stats of badge in/badge out and many were just badging and going home, or staying for an hour or two before leaving.

So because of these people, which was said to be widespread, there would be a 6 hour requirement coming to count as in office for the day.

You can thank those who were trying to game the system for this. Now if you have something coming up and need to leave after 5 hours, it won’t count as a day in office.
