Three years went by. Id--ts on ELT just sat there blowing through Intel's cash, taking on new debt, happily ignoring AI, happily trusting the fat lady in TD on 18A.
Now it turns out we have no future in AI, 18A has no hopes of yielding until 2026 (don't trust the 0.4 D0 lies), nobody cares about x86.
Why are we paying these mo--ns hundreds of millions of dollars? The entire ELT and the board should be fired.

The current ELT is undoubtedly incompetent at best, and malicious at worst. However, these issues didn't start in 2021. We've had dinosaurs in positions of power since more than a decade now. People who don't want to consider anything new, take any risks or question any decisions that were taken based on the same old Intel product-process churn. I'm sure all of us here can name at least two such examples from our BU, who have held back progress and revitalization because they can't change or innovate anymore.

consumers are weak, and enterprise buyers are spending money on AI, cannibalizing their investment on traditional DC products.
They probably had too many dinosaurs that still thought it was 1995. What they accomplished is like someone taking Exxon Mobile to bankruptcy.
I left half way through 2021 and the company never recovered from that…
