Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

TAC SEC

Any news on if TAC sec teams are going to be affected by the LR? Specifically RTP?

A couple of weeks ago someone was on here claiming that a significant number in TAC would be let go, with positions moving to mexico.

Tac seems to be safeish. Meaning we don’t fire much and will just remain normal under headcount. New fills from high cost centers will go to low cost.

No chance, TAC and especially security is the hardest working organization, they are understaffed, work with the clients and are overloaded with the cases and hard tech, layoffs are happening for the useless redundant non-customer facing roles

It is much harder to find a good TAC engineer than anything else, because for example everyone wants to be a manager, you can replace them every day, so logically firing them would be like shooting oneself in the foot
