Tsmc can make an excuse to delay/not making arrowlake for intel. They have control to mess up intel roadmap and revenue and even get rid of its future competitor, isn’t it?

Duh ? Stupid question - TSMC have been a supplier to Intel for years , they will maximise the $ they can get …. That’s their incentive
30,000 dollars per wafer multiplied by 100,000 wafers is a big incentive
It’s in TSMC’s best interest to gain Intel CPU business. Intel still has the largest client CPU business in the market. TSMC is a very professional company and they will over deliver on their promise & will target to get all of Intel’s business. May be Intel might go with TSMC for all CPUs in the future. You never know how things will work out given our current situation.
Ummm.. money?
Typical Intel id--t for even asking this question.
Haha reminds me of Intel influentials giving all sorts of stoopid reasons presumably to ‘control their destiny’
What kind of stupid question is that? They are a business. They want to make money.
$$$$
This is such an Intel way of thinking, and exactly why TSMC is every fabless companies best friend.
I guess the question is what is the reason not to? It’s more money to support R&D. The last thing they would do is engage in a petty fight
Yes. TSMC now controls Intel's destiny. They can limit wafer starts and increase prices. Intel is now stuck. They need to bend over now.
