Yep, that timeline is correct. That is when I joined and my hiring stock options were a week or two before the drop. Under water the whole time.
Intel hit its peak during the dotcom bubble. Intel used to run up to about $150 a share and then split. In October 2000 the stock was in the upper 70s when they missed Q3 earnings and it has never returned to that level.
