Travel freeze

Planned to attend conference that required travel & was told no travel allowed. My coworker got to go to an event earlier in the year. Is there an actual travel freeze or is my boss BSIng me?

This information is extremely critical to the layoff.com community and is of utmost importance so I sure hope we get to the bottom of it.

Travel is always the first thing frozen during a down turn, particularly anything not 100% short-term BU related. Not surprising at all.

The Nobel Prize committee could do worse than include a sub category to Literature of the written justifications for ABU personnel to travel to Houston. We know the real reason is to lay the groundwork for a allowance heavy expat job but I'm.sure their reasons make for great reading.
