I was above average for everything except "two men do not want to work with me". nothing else, no details, no idea.

"Brackets group checking in." Brackets! There you are! Glad you are all safe...for now or at least doing what you always do. Ford Credit...where are you guys...you ok? Since you 2 are the brunt of most jokes on this board...wouldn't be complete without ya...c'mon check in!

@3yug+1uqVQBWz Seriously? That's your idea? Wow! No wonder we are a dumpster fire. Sigh!?

There are many employees receiving the "inconsistent" rating. These are going to be (probably) the group hit with the next layoffs. However, I don't think all the people receiving "inconsistent" are going to be laid off.

The wise thing to do is to stay at Ford while you search for another job.
Pros:

  • It is better to have already a job when looking for another one. You don't look desperate, and have a better bargaining position. Besides, HR and managers love to take "talent" from another company.
  • You can build up your savings while at it.
  • You could try to upgrade your skills at work.
  • In the worst case scenario, where you got fired before finding your next job, your search is already underway.

Cons:

  • You'd have to dedicate part of your day to do your job at Ford. Since you are already marked as "inconsistent", where is the need to deliver anything? And if you are slacking while searching for a job, what are they going to do to you when they find out? Lay you off on the next wave? You're already there...

Good luck!

"guys, is it wise to just quit because of these inconsistent rating?" - I mean if the stress is bothering you that much then up to you. The only good reason I see for leaving before they tell you to is if you have a time sensitive offer that is the same or better (yes, I said the same - see the chance for a clean slate as a benefit if you got inconsistent). But leaving (even with savings) is a little risky without something else lined up but you know your situation better than anyone.

You get two ratings; one for Performance (What) and one for Behavior (How) which is an average of six behavior ratings. You likely got an Inconsistent for one, and a Met for the other.

If my boss gave me "exceeded" for all categories with one being "met", overall "exceeded", I guess I should be happy.

my spy in management says there using the same method as GM and GE. They MUST mark down a certain percentage of people, no matter how good your working. Upper management gets mad if everyone gets meets there goals. Seen an article today saying GM plans on laying off 10% a year in salaried. Bottom line, update your resume and take the view everyone is a contractor now. Being salaried means nothing. Everyone now has a bulls eye on there back, with management looking to make up any stupid excuse to fire you. Your actually safer now to be agency, instead of salaried. Go ahead fire me as agency, I'll be back in a week at a new desk at a new job. Where as salaried are banned from coming back for one year. Seems Stelllantis/Ford/GM all doing this now

It is some consolation to know Farley’s evaluation includes stock value.
The Family cannot be happy with 60% decline since 2022.

did anyone get put on a coaching plan with hr there during the review? Mine were mostly lies. They take some little thing and blow it out of proportion in order to give you inconsistent rating. I did not even bother arguing as it feels like something sinister was in the works. I know the manager is not stupid enough to believe his own feedback so something else must be going on.

When I had my mid year, I was surprised to get consistently inconsistent as the final rating. Apparently, consistently inconsistent is better than inconsistently inconsistent. So I was somewhat happy with the overall rating.

They are slamming as many people as possible with this rating regardless of performance just to lay out a paper trail to fire as they want. Just more sl--eball HR behavior. Of course they are doing it so much that it will clearly look suspect when the eventual lawsuits come. Same old Ford.
