Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Does everyone have Code42 Incydr installed?

I think everyone should have this but it was installed in my machine on the 8th September which is suspiciously close. Can you check and comment please?

Code42-AAT is incydr. It was installed back in June on my machine.
Crashplan was sold by Code42, and now the whole company has been taken over.
Pity people comment on here with pompous authority, but don’t know sh-t.

I don’t think everyone has it because I don’t. I have Code42 AAT not ATT though not sure what that is

Everyone I've asked seems to have both Code42 and Code42-att. I am guessing Cisco installed it in everyone's computers - not necessarily attributed to just people that might be LRed.

How can I check if incydr is installed? I can see code42 and code42-ATT. But that was installed and last updated on August 16th.

I used to be a code42 admin.at my other company. Correct, the code42 agent handles both crashplan and incydr functionality.
Crashplan is the backup and incydr is the file monitoring.
For file monitoring, it will alert the sec team if you take files off the system - whether its transferred to another cloud storage, social media, external device (USB), etc. in order to make sure you aren't taking proprietary information.
Since you had incydr recently enabled, it's hard to tell whether Cisco is in the process of rolling it out, or that they enabled it temporarily for people who are leaving...

It was also installed on my machine last week.
To see if you have had it before go to Code42 and try to restore files from there
It should give you the option to browse the backup sets and if you pick an older backup set you can see if you had it or not in c:\Program Files\Code42 ATT folder

No, the Code42 “Incyder” software is different than the Code42 backup software. The “Incyder” software got installed more recently. Go look up what it does.

Everyone has this installed to back up the hdd to the cloud. I wish we would have this level of paranoia in creating great products and executing sales. Imagine if we used this level of constant pushing to drive the stock price up? Yes I am being cynical, this is why we have so many dam layoffs. People all they do is complain and wonder - just go and do your job. Smh.
