Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Keep your eyes Open

When I was LR’d in February 2024 the week before I was notified I started having difficulty accessing certain Cisco sites. I didn’t think anything of it and just put in a ticket. IT told me to “clear cookies” then the day before I was notified I was presenting on webex and in the middle of my presentation my excel spreadsheet completely shut down. I had to ask a colleague to pull up the spreadsheet so that I could continue. I didn’t know it then but my access was being shut off.

You will find that anything dealing with software will seem “glitchy” and not working properly as before. It was a clear sign in hindsight.

When they LR you all you can view is email, the LR package info and workday. Nothing else. You are blocked from being able to log into Cisco beat or any Cisco meetings that require a log in.

Also, no meeting was scheduled on my calendar I got a ping from my VP asking if I had a “quick min to chat” and that was it.

Good luck and best wishes.

OP, what if we are not able to send and receive webex meetings? That's not a great sign, is it? That is happening to my webex meetings. I work in a low-presence Cisco city with a small office.

I can't view other people's calendars this week. Maybe I'm getting lucky this LR round.

Same thing happened to me in feb right before I was let go. About a week or two before my webex started to glitch and i coulnt send or receive messages. Couldnt get into meetings. Had to call IT to fix it. The guy even told me it was probs because i was being “offboarded” which made no sense at the time. I also lost access to a number of files that i was still working in

I pinged my VP and asked him if he “had a quick min to chat”. He said sure. Then I got promoted !
