Lined up another job. Started looking when mass layoffs were announced, and was lucky to get a good offer very soon afterwards. I’m now just twiddling my thumbs and hoping I’m on the list. Go look for better jobs, nobody deserves this much stress and anxiety, inconsiderate mgmt, and complete disregard for the fact that we are human beings who can not be switched off and on depending on the desires of leadership.

Congratulations on the new job!
Smartest move you can make… way to go! Satisfying, I’m sure to know you have the stones to leave on your terms!
My 2 cents.. I was impacted in the 2020 (COVID year) November LR. I was notified in early Oct that I was in jeopardy and chose to leave at the end of November instead of the forced January exit. My last day at Cisco was Nov 23, 2020, and I started my new role on Nov 24th, 2020. I was lucky in that I found something quickly, but it was not ideal. I was doing contract work, but it boosted my pay greatly. By nearly $60 an hour more then was I was making at Cisco. 1 year later I was converted to full-time at my job and have been SO MUCH HAPPIER here. I still read these posts partly because I have friends to are still at Cisco and I worry for them and it's oddly nice to know the bi-annually LR's Cisco does no longer give me stress. Think of me as one of the people in the lifeboats watching the Titanic sink. I know I'm ok, but I worry about my friend's unknown status. I also get to sp-t at the id--t management team who ran this ship into the iceberg and still expect the passengers on this boat to be busy kicking the pieces of ice around like a ball instead of paying attention to the rising water.
Congratulations!
Yup same. I have a final round this week with another exciting company. Been at Cisco almost 15 years but I cant take it anymore
On last interviews myself, these across the board cuts are how Cisco is losing all it's top talent.
Great work and congrats to both. Smart.
Did the same thing, but during the previous layoff. Best thing I ever did was leave after 20+ years.
