I don't think any of you ever met Cannis. He was a genuinely nice guy who would talk to anyone - regardless of their level within the company. We need more leaders like him who are one with their people.

He lead us when we were Team Edison and we launched the Mach e. Then he lead us as Ford Pro which was one of Ford's unsung profitable heroes.

He will be missed.

If Farley ever heard the comments CM made about having to go to India to clean up the mess Farley made there, CM would be “retiring.”

If they had to publish CM’s CV, it would be embarrassing, especially the part where they explain the Canopy Security LLC failure, where he is CEO.

Ford has no bench. Not only was Cannis not qualified to run any large organization , we have at least three other CEO titled people that also are not qualified to run any organization. Bill Ford makes the decisions, and we end up with people like Farley, Hackett, Doug Field and Stern, incompetent in the vehicle manufacturing business. Nobody is being mentored to become a leader. Cannis’ replacement will be from outside Ford.

@1ygc+1utZq3mN - I LOL. Go back and look how he got into every position and promotion. If CM plays the lottery, he will win!

Wall Street wants Ford Pro to be spun-out. We've heard it in multiple earning calls. I suspect Ted wanted it to happen, BoD didn't.

Replace the current failed CEO with an even bigger failure…let’s “canopy” Pro.

There will be some re-org and musical chairs coming.

They should just skip hiring anyone new and merge Ford Pro into Model e and let Doug Field manage it.

Cannis got his mid term evaluation rating “inconsistent” and quit.

Anything to substantiate this? Or just pixie dust and wishful thinking here? Did you just have this idea and simply want to share with the class or do you actually know something?

A path of failures.

Cannis began his career in 1989 in finance and went on to serve in leadership positions in Venezuela, Argentina, Turkey and Russia. From 2017 to 2020, he served as global director, Battery Electric Vehicles, leading Team Edison, the team that developed the award-winning Mustang Mach-E and was involved in the development of the F-150 Lightning and E-Transit.
