Yep… I remember the times when I worked weekends non stop because we were always understaffed and reached the point when couldn’t remember my colleague’s name I talked to in the office because of exhaustion. I was laid off twice within 6months…
1st time because I “underperforming” together with my colleagues..
2nd -all org.got dismissed.
As most of you, I worked hard and finally got sp-t to the face.
It’s step 1 of moving your work to a lower cost center. Or to one of their friends/relatives/loyalists/relative of someone they want a favor from.
If you’re in SBG I can guarantee it’s that. They don’t give a sh-t about you or your workload.
You will be getting a new "helper" in India. You may be told they will only be working certain projects or at certain hours.
Then it's all the projects and all the hours.
Been there, done that. It's how they get you to train your replacement.
It happens on SBG before, they reduce your workload by shifting a little bit simple task to overseas. Then ... , Now your workload reduced and have time to double your output. Its a trap !
Sneaky way of asking for a handover.
At this point it’s 50/50
Maybe he wants you to focus on other strategic projects that others are part of (who may be let go).. so by reducing your workload here, he can give you other important ones..
He might mean well. Don’t panic .
Maybe someone else is impacted and you will take over their work…
