I will be signing on and set as busy in Teams and watching email and doing nothing else until I know what the he-l my status is.

i'm drinking at my desk, trying to figure out who my mo--n executives fired, and checking email.
have barely been working all month. either i'm on the list or i'm not, and i've seen enough hard-working people get the axe to know that i could pull 80 hour weeks, save these a--holes millions of dollars, and make 0 difference with my future at this company.
You need to have a better work ethic.
I worked full speed up to my one on one meeting which was scheduled before lunch so I was able to work a full morning and attend the usual meetings.
I also put in time over the weekend so all my work in progress would be complete and checked in before the lay off day.
I hate to do a half assed job and leave work half done.
Cisco does layoffs at least annually and gets around to most people eventually so one needs to be able to accept and adapt to this enviornment. Other than this, people do think Cisco is a good place to work.
If I survive this, I’ve decided to work no more than 50% moving forward… the rest of the time will be holiday and searching for a new job elsewhere. This mental destruction foisted on us can’t be tolerated.
It's now the best time to slack off. If your performance goes down by like 80% from the usual, you can just shift blame to smaller team or low morale. What are they gonna do about it, fire you? After like 3 months they ofc can and will put you on PIP for that, but now? If you're not LRed you missed on severance, but got yourself a month of easy living.
Aren't you safe now? Remember that there is a 93% chance of survival so the odds are well and truly in your favour. If you haven't received your 1-on-1 meeting (the indicator of the LR from what I'm reading) by now your job should be safe.
