I was a CSE in GES, left 2 years ago. I could see it coming, the role was never setup to be successful.

The premiers eliminated the cSE role a couple of years ago. There was significant overlap between the SDE and the CSE. Premiers eliminated the overlap as in addition, customers/sales were confused at who had overall service accountability. This should have been done across the board. It’s ironic that the same single lead model is the go to plan as the leaders at the time got in trouble and were moved to other areas as a result. I’m sure current leadership is patting themselves on the back.

Confirmed CSE in US role eliminated. All the CSE on my accounts are gone.

Supposedly, they kept them in Premier.

New CX Leader role reqs are supposed to open at 3pm ET.

Sounds like a new role is being put in place to cover the gap left by removing SPM/CSEs, as LC said - to cover adoption from the point of sale rather than approaching the renewal, and to have a single CX contact for customers.

Which is so blindingly obvious, you’ve got to ask how has this not existed years before and why weren’t CS put to focus on at the start of the lifecycle …

Splunk doesn't know anything about networking so them taking over wouldn't work

Splunk’s couldn’t take over. It’s tiny compared to Cisco, so not enough staff to support taking over an entire massive company’s CX. They wouldn’t have the bandwidth, expertise, understanding of ciscos internal processes, or even basic product understanding. This one is a real head scratcher…

I suspect Splunk's CS org will step in and take over; but it's a horrible situation. :(

It seems that Customer success is no longer a Cisco priority. I'm sure Cisco wants to put that responsibility back on its' partner community.

All Say Thanks and Kudos to "Liz C". Rather than re-design CX, train, and move positions, She Opted to Eliminate. Thank you Liz.

This is political, with leadership salting the Earth that MM laid down. I wish everyone from those orgs a quick return to employment. This type of execution is sure to bite Cisco in the end.

Seriously. Any confirmation at all here? You have global knowledge on this? I don't think so.
