Given the speed that the Splunk acquisition happened I would GUESS Splunk is safe this round.

But there have been multiple threads around future LRs (as soon as February) and there is president for that. Looking forward you will likely see cuts in HR, Purchasing, payroll and IT as these duplicate functions that already exist within Cisco.

You might even see cuts in sales (as one AM should be able to sell current Cisco and Splunk products).

Some Splunkers were notified just after earnings and are still being officially “onboarded” to Cisco so they are eligible for same packages, etc.. The blanket statements about Splunk being safe for a year, no LR as part of the acquisition, etc., are totally false. Maybe for some leadership, but definitely not true for all ICs.
