Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

ELT and most VPs partying hard tonight

They love them some layoffs and chaos.

On a serious note, I know a former CEO of another fortune 50 company. He really did get giddy during layoffs. He truly did get off on it.

Cisco, doesn't really need to constantly churn like they do. Not really. It's not even a good business decision. I think they just enjoy the sense of power it gives them.

I think they like that they got away with implementing on bad decisions.

Somewhere along the chain from the top down and the board terrible decisions keep getting made because our leadership is feckless.

Every year it’s ‘the market did this or that. We hopeless doe eyed leaders did hard work but the big bad wolf wasted our efforts away. As always. And so we’ve to lay you off’. ‘Because we need our bonuses. ‘

Stupidest post. Just d-mb and ignorant. I know lots of senior people and they are not “partying”. It is painful and many take it very personally.

Right after Cisco announced laying off 4000 in February, a Security VP hired his yoga soul mate who got three Directors reporting to her. There is no report under any of the Directors. What do you make of this?
