Were Canada Employees notified today too?

Canada was probably not hit as hard as US was. It is simply economics at play, they can do an equal or better job in Canada than in US but for less money.
It goes like this:
- India -cheapest
- Mexico -cheaper and better
- Canada -cheaper than US more expensive than Mexico
- EU -a mixed bag but different time zone (there you have Germany, UK, France and then Portugal and Poland as cheaper solutions)
- JP, AUS -don't know much about that side , different time zone
- US relies on the two (Mexico and Canada) for cheaper work .It is in some parts the most expensive cost center
Bottom line -US was impacted the most for the above reasons so don't worry that much about Canada

Yes, I know of a few folks in Canada that were affected.
In terms of teams affected: it seems to generally align with the global teams impacted, that were already discussed on this page. Fewer impacts in Sales, more in CX and Engineering.
