G12 in SBG engineering let go today. I cant say it has been great working here because the management has always impeded promotions to PE but I did enjoy my time here. 6 year veteran and would have liked to continue. I wish each and everyone the best. Especially those who heard the bad news today.

Yet the big security names are hiring in this hot market and Cisco is playing catch up and having LRs. Something is not adding up.
PE here from SBG (1 of only 3). It's overcrowded here in this grade level. Still kicking but I'm hearing rumors that one of the other 2 was cut. Had a chat with the SVP and he confirmed that I'm not impacted and should focus on work. He could not go beyond that and advised me to mind my freaking business.
If SBG is the security group, I was also a g12 back in the day, also LR'ed when the grim reaper came knocking. Generally, and thanks to the likes of the so-called consulting companies, if you're G12 or higher and don't have 8-ish reports, you're toast
Hey it su-ks to get let go. I am sorry for you. As a fellow G12 in SBG I know what you might have gone thru. I wish you the absolute best. You will rock.
It is a sad period for all of us, especially those who who are impacted. I wish you the very best in life.
Hope you will find a career that will extend your experience and talents soon.
