I know it's finally over, but I don't feel any better. So many good people lost and for what? The only thing this will do is give us a short-term bump in profit. In the long term, this will cost Cisco more than those who run this show realize. You can't make up for the institutional knowledge that was willingly kicked out today.

One of my colleagues was forced to end a 16-year career with Cisco today. Their market knowledge was unmatched and I can't imagine anyone being able to fill the void. Yes maybe cheaper labor, but it's becoming very clear that Cisco gets what they pay for: a bunch of sycophantic yes men who will all "yes" themselves to the bottom of the ocean. RIP Cisco, it's been real.
Fully expect another one in February. Some of the decisions made are baffling with cuts made without being fully thought through. I can't see how the changes will turn around the problems Cisco face

After the packages and onboarding of new clueless people is factored in, there won't be a profit. There will be a big loss.
