Amazon - an ONLINE ONLY Retailer - back into the office. What a joke!!!
(and yes, you can bet darn sure BofA loser MTM will use as a means to justify their own Draconian medieval structure and processes.
Hi ho, hi ho, it's back to work we go.... NOT.
Easy and cheap way to meet their Head Count Target.... the game is on, folks. Glad I've served my time and counting the days until I am outta this old school coal mine.
“Back to Basics”, eh? Sounds good. Assume that applies to the bonuses too? What? No? Oh ok, well considering BoA never does anything until everyone else has already done it before them, this sounds like a great opportunity to level-set compensation that many of us have watched dwindle down while cost of living has skyrocketed up. Know of a handful already who made that change recently, directly to our main competitors. And their core clients are confirmed to be following them.
Get the résumé’s ready folks. If we’re heading back, might as well get paid properly for it!
This company has no idea how to determine top talent within the bank, let alone outside of it, so no real impact there.
At least Amazon officially notified employees 3.5 months out. This rotten-to-the-core company will wait until Christmas.
- “Back to basics” is what is said. -
Interesting. We made a meeting last week where this (“Back to basics”) was the theme supposedly coming down from on high regarding the approach to pretty much everything moving forward. Meeting wasn't about RTO/Workplace Excellence specifically. However, I can certainly see that this could be just laying the foundation toward hearing that phrase a lot in the coming months.
I’m sorry, is this Amazon?
Good luck recruiting top talent.
Good luck with asset quality.
Amazon is famous for being a horrible place to work. The opposite of what Bank of America is trying to pitch as. ESPECIALLY in light of recent events involving employees actually dying because of the work load. Seen a Wall St Journal lately??
From other thread
Unofficially official — there are numerous discussions regarding working on a 5 day in office week. “Back to basics” is what is said. Remember those words, they will come up. Because of the early chatter already, some people have unsuccessfully tried to remain remote and failed in their efforts. They left. One persons reason for leaving is because September is a hiring month. Not sure if that is true. I have never heard that before. We have all, and I am sure you have too - been advised to update our Flagscape profile. We were even advised to link it to LinkedIn if we have it. Make it up to date and professional.
Before you ask, no - I am not going to tell you my department, that is the whole point of Anonymous. When I have more information I will make a separate post so it does not get lost.
Yes - about time we move back to pre covid work.
Magic 8-ball says Yes.
