Evolving means moving as many roles out of Bay Area as possible and leaving the peasants in the Tasman area. While Experienced Layoff Team moves to Santana Row.

I wonder which of them already have apartments there.

Cisco is actively moving roles to states with a lower cost of living.

Huh? Cisco is moving roles from Tasman to Santa Row.

I take it to imply that the beatings are only going to accelerate in the bay area

It means Cisco is downsizing to 30K employees by end of 2025

Those buildings closing isn’t a sign of decline, it’s a sign of how useless office space is in an increasingly remote world

Frankly, I'm stunned to learn that Bldgs. 8-11 in SJC are being closed. I remember when they were being built back in the 90s when the company was growing exponentially. It was an exciting time! Seeing those buildings close, which includes Corporate HQ, along with many others on that campus, is a sign of decline & it saddens me, compared to the days of glory.

Heard that ELT in buildings 8-11 in SJ will be moving their offices to the swanky and costly Splunk offices in Santana Row.

Maybe it was the plan all along to vacate SJC and move the HQ to Atlanta, slowly but surely. Seems fitting since he already relocated to Atlanta and finished the new and large shiny office. Oh and not to mention, some of the ELT is already there.

Cisco is actively moving roles to states with a lower cost of living. I would personally ask to transfer your role out of state if you were in CA. The exodus is real.

Saving matters for Cisco it means less office space more remote work or no work, I am 120% go for it.
Enjoying lots of remote work, the neighborhood soccer mom don't know I actually have a job :-) AND survived for many LR_s ...
I will enjoy it until it ends

When they say 'Evolving Cisco’s Bay Area Offices,' it probably means that any perks or things people actually enjoy about the office are about to disappear.
