Thread regarding Rockwell Automation Inc. layoffs

I see no strategy at the top but cuts and more cuts

This round may be over now, but there will be more layoffs, attrition and offshoring coming. We may think we are safe until the end of the year, but I would be cautious and prepare for any eventuality. Long-term? Start looking for other options. With the leadership we have now the future of current employees is bleak.

They closed half the urinals on 9th floor 4 years ago and haven’t opened them back up. But they moved fake manufacturing back and now grow tomatoes. Farmer Blake?

I think we are in the "we didn't invest in the core and now we are sc--wed" mode.

The bigger problem is the brain drain either through retirements or from newly hired "managers" who have no idea how our products work making RIF decisions that they have no business making.

Our customers don't buy our products expecting them to work for a few years. They buy them because we support them for decades. Without that knowledge, RA will have a difficult time doing that.

I joined RA US around 3 years ago.
There seems to be no coherent strategy and vision at the top. I seriously question the competence of people at the the director and up levels. Perhaps too much DEI and virtue signaling and not enough innovation and not enough investements in development.

RA seems to be in the “soul searching” mode.

Death by a thousand cuts? Seems like Rockwell is well on its way. Maybe Blake can jet over to Davos on the corp jet and have big thoughts and feel important. Talk about sustainability of his tomato farm in the clock tower while he creates co2 that would require a decade of tomato growing to cover one trip. Ever heard of virtue signaling?? Blake and his band of boneheads are masters of this. If you are young, RUN!!!!

Well. If you had been close to leadership, you would see the incompetence and current results. If you are director or below. Run if you can, hunker down if you must. The next year or two are not great compared to other industrial automation companies under more competent management. Don’t trust this advice? Look at Emerson. Honeywell. ABB. BECKHOFF. Mitsubishi…..and make an informed decision. As someone who saw Blake up close?? Run. He is a tiny man with a tiny mind who aspires to be something Rockwell is not and pay lots of consultants a line if cr-p. Ask around.
