Heard rumours that the next part of RTO is to track the amount of time spent in office and not only badge swipes.
Has anyone else heard it?

idk about everywhere else but, the RR offices don't require you to badge out and... Even if they did, who's to say you didn't just exit behind someone and forget to badge out? That will be a nightmare to track and an HR nightmare as well lol. As for VPN tracking... Corporate doesn't require a VPN connection if you are IN the office - you just use the WiFi and/or cable into the network. if you are in FED, you have to connect to "Dell Guest WiFi," then connect to the FED VPN. The amount of work it would take to truly track someone via VPN would be a pretty hefty lift and, as well... What will happen if you badge in at 8am, then badge out at say 12pm for lunch, then badge in again at 1pm, then badge out again at 3pm? Point here is that, truly keeping track of all that would be a cluster and with so many variables involved, will be incredibly difficult to keep accurate tabs on.
Yes. You will be required to swallow a physical tracker that is scanned when you enter or exit. It adds a nice metallic flavor to the bland cafeteria food.
You can also opt for the en--a version.
Why HR is downvoting this?
We've heard they also adding crapware to record our screens every time we log in, and watch keystrokes. Our systems so slow with Dell-junk using up resources that we can not easily identify, is what we assume this junk is.
Of course they are tracking.
HR earning your pay.
Stay tuned for the extent of tracking
We're using Dell AI is being deploy this Big Brother dystopian infrastructure. This is your final warning to conform.
they're far ahead of us, simply not showing their hand yet
its already being done, when you plug your laptop in its recorded in a log showing your connection to the office network. when you drive away heading home the same thing happens. easy enough to compare computer names and time on network..
the rub is the legality of it in each state and what your contract says ...
If you don’t think they are already doing this through active system monitoring, you are delusional. There is just no accountability…. Yet.
cant be done in some sites where you dont need a badge swipe to exit the building
no, my manager has said there has been no mention of this, at least outside of sales anyhow. Not sure what sales is going to be doing, but for the rest of us, there has been no talk about it. I think you're getting speculation from people to gaslight the issue a bit more.
I would say 5 days a week is more likely that badge swipe monitoring.
Yep… VPN tracking as well
Yeah we all heard it here like you
