Sounds like the id--ts that failed Intel think they still have better skills and performances than those they laid off. Let see how they do in the next few years
Why were no form born employees laid off?
I was just let go today. They said it was skills based, not performance based… Yet the explanation they gave me made no sense at all tbh: It was skills based and I fell at the bottom of their list. Anyway, I’m trying not to let it bother me but it is. The reality is starting to set in.
Low perf, then compensation. High comp got booted.
They say it’s not performance-based but I think it’s difficult to separate performance from skills. Also, Christie answered a question at the ACM saying that performance would absolutely be a factor. Later, HR walked that back.
I don’t think it’s performance based. Also, in some groups, managers at the VP level are making decisions based on some input from lower managers, regardless of how much they know about the work of each person.
It’s based on the manager. Some managers who are making decisions for intel’s best interest and some who are making them for their own personal grudges.
It is based on all of the above and how you fake it

The ones who should've been ISP still collecting that bi-weekly check. Not sure how some are still employed. Should've been terminated long before this layoff was announced.
