I dont know how long you all have been in this industry. I have worked for 5 different companies in the last 24 years and have been through 9 layoffs. Thats close to 1 lay off every 2.5 years. I lost my job due to 2 out of the 9 times and am still in the industry. Despite living through 3 recssions lasting for a total of 2 years and 2 months Im still here in the industry. This is not unique. This is not the end of the world its just the semiconductor industry. Its not just Intel. All of these companies minus one still manufatures chips in the United States.
