I have a legit medical accommodation that I had to go through the proper channels to obtain. I have been told that I cannot be promoted or have people reporting to me. Sounds bogus to me as I see others on the old MyWork (with no medical accommodation) that have direct reports. Anyone know the truth?

I’ve been promoted by band, IC to manager, and corp title while on medical accommodation to work from home across 3 orgs.
I’ve been in MyWork for several years. Lost my direct and indirect reports. Was also told no on any other role leading people. Limited increases and no reasonable change in role since that time.
Yup.. I think the same happened to me. My medical condition deteriorated while in the office. I stayed in the office as long as I could, eventually I didn't have a choice. My coworkers, friends, etc told me to talk to my manager or HR. If I didn't, they would. True to their word they contacted HR and my manager. I was back to WFH the next day.
Since then, no awards, no salary increase, and 1 eCard in the last two years. Prior to my return to WFH I averaged 30-40 eCards a year, regular raises, bonuses, and countless bronze, silver, gold and other awards.
I know I have ZERO chance of a promotion, pay increase, title change, etc. Do I think I was retaliated against? Yes. Can I do anything about it or prove it? No. I'm happy in my position, my family wants for nothing, aside from that I don't care.
A medical accommodation and MyWork are two totally different things.
My manager told me if I got remote accommodations medically I would never get a promotion either. Seems to be common.
There are some people probably grandfathered into MyWork with direct reports. I know someone in MyWork and when she applied for another role she was told by the interviewer she wasn’t eligible because the role has direct reports and she is in MyWork. This was several years ago.
Sounds like discrimination to me. Bank of America, what a GREAT place to work .
Call advise and counsel and ask if there is an Enterprise rule
My team's manager is MyWork. It sounds like a plan to make you miserable.
I’ve been in the program since the beginning of MyWork (for medical reasons) and was told the same thing. What you were told is true and has been my experience.
Sounds bogus to me. My boss has been out to get me for almost a year. She has no reason to fire me so she’s making it he-l on me so I will quit.
Sounds like they are trying to make you quit. The bank has tactics they use when they want somebody gone.
