Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

Age discrimination

The majority of people who were let go were in their late 40s at best, but more often in their 50s and 60s. The most experienced folks. How is this okay? I know there are laws that say age discrimination is not okay. I don't understand how the leadership is not worried about this. I think we have a class action in the making here.

I've found out they try to keep one token outlier around so the age averages out, but in reality, it is definitely age discrimination.

54, laid off after 14 years with this rotten place.
others laid off with me were all over 45. This is outrageous! There's clear a patterns of age discrimination with FIS.

I’m in my 60s with 41 years of accounting experience and seven years at FiS. They outsourced my job and let me go. I need to adequately train my replacement in order to receive my severance.
